Holiday craft Ideas with Play-Doh playsets

This post is #sponsoredcontent by Play-Doh. Play-Doh is a registered trademark of Hasbro, used with permission. All opinions are my own.

I cannot believe it is already that time of year again, but I am so excited for the Holiday season. #Ad The holidays with kids is so incredibly fun and while our schedule is busy, we have the best time creating memories. You guys know I love “simple” so I like to think of fun, simple activities for the kids that create lasting memories. If you have been following along our instagram stories, you know my kids have a deep love for Play-Doh compound. They beg for their Play-Doh compound time constantly and love when I help them think of fun ways to play. This really inspired me to create two fun Holiday Craft ideas for them.

For this Holiday Play-Doh compound craft, we used the Play-Doh Create N Store set, Confetti 24pk bundle and Play-Doh single cans from Walmart. I ordered all of ours online at Walmart.com but parents can also get them in stores or use order pick up!

Snowman

First up, the kids started with a snowman. I figured a snowman would be a super fun place to start because the kids love rolling their Play-Doh compound up into balls. We used the White Confetti Play-Doh compound as the snow ball for our snow man. Next, the kids picked out the colors for the eyes, and buttons. I helped show them how to make a nose and then off they went! Brooke continued to get more creative and added a scarf and eventually a skirt to hers. They just had the best time dressing them up, then they would take everything off and create new looks with their snowman again.

Tree

The next craft we made was a tree. They rolled out their Play-Doh compound with tools from their Create N Store Bucket, then I helped them draw a tree. After that, they made little “ornaments” and decorations for their tree. Again, they loved they could keep trying new things and making them different.
Overall, what really worked well about these holiday craft ideas was that they weren’t a “one time” creation. The kids could easily keep redecorating their snowman and tree. It allowed them to be very creative and kept them entertained for so long.

If you are looking for holiday craft ideas, I hope these really helped spark your imagination. Also, I just have to say that Play-Doh play sets and compound make great gifts for the holidays. I highly recommend checking out their lineup at Walmart for any gifting needs you might have coming up! Parents use these links to see the products: https://bit.ly/3qHaLIY & https://bit.ly/36XhyGH
