Week 27 Bumpdate

size of the baby: Rutabaga (whatever that is) – 13.6-14.8 inches

total weight gain: probably around 14 or 15 pounds

gender: Little Miss B. Clarke

maternity clothes: I am getting really sick of wearing pants. I need to go shopping for a few dresses in the next few weeks. I am hoping to find some good options and even thinking about investing in some more dresses for spring just to get out of pants.

movement: All day long and when I’m lucky she wakes me up at 4am (kidding – about the lucky part). But really, she keeps waking me up in the middle of the night. I guess its good practice for when she is born though.

sleep: Sleeping has been okay this week besides waking up 3-4 times to go to the bathroom and her waking me up from kicking.

nursery: Her little space is getting more and more put together. Her rug came in this week and it is looking great in there! I can’t wait to have it all put together.

craving: double daves still, we need to find time to go. & doughnuts on the real (same as last week)

symptoms: Nothing really this week besides frequent trips to the bathroom

kevin is: pretty normal this week. Nothing major going on, just living life as normal. We had the UTSA Baseball Banquet last weekend and Kevin really enjoyed getting to see old teammates and coaches. It was a pretty fun night.

looking forward to: seeing our family in two weeks for the baby shower and a few days off this weekend.

best moments: I am loving the way her room is coming together and we finally decided on a middle name! Now, we have her whole name and I can’t wait to share it with all of you soon. It feels so good to call her by her name and start thinking about monogram stuff. We also went to one childcare place to tour yesterday afternoon – I wouldn’t call this a “best moment” though. Overall, I wasn’t super impressed and didn’t have the best feeling about it. We will see how I feel after we go tour the next one. I really didn’t have too many expectations going in, I was just kind of disappointed. Hopefully the second one goes a little better and lifts my spirits about it.
