The Holiday’s are such a fun time of year. I love all of the family, friends, parties, celebrations and joy. However, I do call the Holiday’s the busy season. With your calendar completely booked and your to do list extra long, it can be easy to put things on the back burner, your spouse being one of those. I want to encourage you to take this busy time to also be intentional about your marriage and serve one another. Back in March, I wrote a post about How To Serve Your Spouse, but here are practical ways to serve your husband in your everyday life.
- Give him a massage
- Do the dishes
- Take out the trash
- Clean the whole house
- Take him a surprise lunch
- Leave him a love note
- Bring him his favorite treat to work
- Ask how you can pray for him
- Pray for him
- Cook his favorite meal
- Wash his car
- Make his favorite dessert
- Send him encouraging texts
- Plan a date night
- Tell him how much you appreciate him
- Plan a relaxing weekend away
- Help him with a project
- Be a listening ear
- Don’t nag him
- Kiss him… often.
When in doubt or when you run out of ideas, ask him and study him. Ask him what you could do for him or study what he is doing or could use your help on. You will be surprised how easy it is to come up with something when you are paying close attention to him. I hope this give you good ideas and spurs some of your own. Feel free to leave your ideas in the comments!
