It’s almost summertime! The weather is getting hotter, school is almost out, and all of our flowers are in full bloom. Excitement is in the air and it’s time to start planning some fun, unique summer night activities for your family. I love coming up with fun ideas for my husband and I to do with our daughter after work, or even just for the two of us once she goes to bed. Family time is so important to me and I always have a blast with my little family. Here are 7 Unique Summer Night Activities that you can try, or maybe they will inspire you to think of some in your own way!
Front Porch Conversations
I love sitting on our front porch and we don’t do it nearly enough. After dinner, grab your drinks and head outside to just sit and talk on the front porch. The kids can play in the front yard, or you can wait until they go to bed. Its nice to just sit outside and soak up the weather.
Driveway Picnic Dinner
Take your dinner out to the driveway and have a picnic! Its a fun way to get outside and do something different. If dinner seems like too much to carry outside, maybe just take your dessert! If you have older kids, this might be fun with them or if you don’t, this would be super fun with your spouse. Fill up water balloons with glow bracelets in them. Wait until its pretty dark, and let the fun begin!
Outdoor Movie Night
You could set up a tent in the backyard, or even just a pallet of blankets and watch a movie. You could watch it on your laptop or even get fancy and rent a blow up screen and invite friends over.
DIY Spa Night
This can be more romantic for you and your spouse, or more fun if you have a daughter. For you and your spouse, think warm bath, massages and wine. With kids, a fun foot spa and nail painting!
Go Bug Collecting or Flower Collecting
Basically, get out of the house and explore the neighborhood. Look at the small details, bugs, flowers, anything you don’t normally pay attention to. Its fun to see all of the different types of birds, and animals that live in your neighborhood too!
