I will start by saying that decorating my house is not my biggest strength. Don’t get me wrong, I love the decor we have in our house and I spent a lot of time carefully picking pieces, however, I have never mastered the idea of curtains or a gallery wall outside of our game room. Basically, if I had the time and unlimited bank account, I could do a lot more damage, but we like to keep it simple around the Clarke house. I love grey tones and neutrals so you will find a lot of those in our house. You will also only find white walls. My husband and I both love crisp white walls.
The most recent decorating I have done was for Brooke’s Nursery. I spent countless hours researching and daydreaming about her nursery and I love how it turned out. For all of my decorating needs, I tend to use these Top 5 Decorating Resources the most:
Watching HGTV
I love watching HGTV and seeing all of the amazing home renovations and decor ideas. My favorite shows are Property Brothers, Flip or Flop and Fixer Upper. I would say our style is more Property Brothers and Flip or Flop, but I really like the down to earth feel of Fixer Upper too.
Pinterest is a very close second to HGTV. I got a ton of Brooke’s Nursery ideas from Pinterest. It is such a great resource for decorating ideas.
Decor Magazines
I know some people aren’t very into magazines anymore, but I still love them! I love flipping through pages and folding down the pages of ideas I like. I really like flipping through catalogs I get in the mail too for Ballard Design, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Ikea.
In Store Shopping
The shops I mentioned above are my favorite, but I love Target’s new decor section and Hobby Lobby as well. I get a lot of ideas from just walking down the aisles and brainstorming different rooms.
Friends and Family
My last favorite resource would be from friends and family. I love seeing how other people decorate their house and ideas that they have. It is a great way to find ideas!

I love your crisp white walls! We are eventually going to try to go for greys and whites throughout the entire house with kids rooms being the exception. I love HGTB too! Although we cut our cable I still get to watch Fixer Upper on Netflix! Love this and have had so much fun reading your posts every week!
